The liquid concentrates are calibrated to their drop volume against the solute weight, which is needed for sequestering a particular volume of blood indicated on each product labels. These are available in a saturated format and make no or very negligible difference in final volume of blood collected The critical evaluation necessary for this and is also advisable to dry out the residual moisture from the drop dispensed for sample containers prior to blood collection.

Composition:

• When a drop dispensed from vertically held bottle
• HE 895: 25 mL Pot. oxalate fluoride Bottle
• HE 896: 150 mL Pot. oxalate fluoride Bottle

Storage and Stability:

• Stable for 60 months
• Stored tight caped at ambient temperature below 35° C

Procedure:

Dispense from vertically held pot. oxalate fluoride concentrate bottle a drop to chemically cleaned sample collection tube, vial or bottle prior to collecting 1-3 ml blood sample. Swirl to disperse the content. Sample volume can be altered proportionally.

Caution:

Never add Pot. Oxalate fluoride concentrate to collection syringe prior to blood collection as reverse flow of blood mixed with chemicals may enter to the circulatory system which is hazardous.
